You will work with a process automation system to monitor the process and adjust controls as necessary. Besides automatic process control, a physical check of the installations remains essential, so you and your colleagues will regularly do rounds through the central for control. In the event of a malfunction, you will perform the analysis yourself and assess the urgency. For repairs or replacements, you will engage the maintenance teams of Mechanical Engineering or Electrical, Control & Instrumentation. With your experience and drive for optimal performance, you will use LEAN tools to continuously improve production and work processes.

<\/span><\/span>Your daily responsibility is to ensure that the central is operated safely and reliably, while also being environmentally conscious and cost -effective.

<\/span><\/span>As a Junior Mechanical Engineer | Operator Energy & Biocentral, you will:<\/b><\/span><\/span>Participate in the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of the energy -producing units (Combined Heat and Power units and biomass installations) and the district heating network of Utrecht & Nieuwegein;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>Monitor, under the supervision of your senior, the safety of the installation, the process, permits, and the methodology;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>Analyze and resolve malfunctions (first line);<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>Provide support and coordination during major maintenance;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>Contribute to and support continuous improvement of processes and the development of instructions and procedures;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>Work in shift service with corresponding shift allowance.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

You have a vocational level 4 diploma in Process Operation Technology (AOT), Mechanical Engineering (WTB), or Vapro C;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>You have a REWIC certificate or are willing to obtain it;<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>You are initiative -driven, proactive, flexible, stress -resistant, and goal -oriented;<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>You have a critical eye and analytical thinking skills;<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>You can work independently as well as in a team;<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>You have excellent communication skills.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
